Happy Wedding Wednesday!

I truly believe this intimate destination wedding on Mackinac Island is the stuff small wedding dreams are made of.  The wedding day unfolds with a beautiful outdoor ceremony, a scenic horse-drawn carriage ride & a celebratory dinner on the patio.  There's bubbly & cake too!  Does it get any better than that?  Paul Retherford Wedding Photography shows us the beauty:

On July 4, 2012, Twin Cities residents Kari & Mark had a small destination wedding on Mackinac Island in Michigan.  The non-motorized, charming island was the perfect place for their intimate celebration with their closest family.  On their bright, sunny wedding day, the outdoor ceremony took place at a white gazebo near the gardens on the lawn with lake views.  Everything was simple & lovely, including the Bride herself with her beautiful smile & gorgeous orchid & calla lily bouquet.  With a cello & flute providing sweet music, the Bride & Groom exchanged vows. After the ceremony, the Bride & Groom popped some bubbly & toured the island in a quaint horse-drawn carriage.  Then the new Mr. & Mrs. shared a relaxed dinner on the lakeside patio with their family.  In the only nod to a traditional wedding, they cut their gorgeous red & purple wedding cake decorated with fresh orchids & calla lilies.  A very sweet ending to a sweet wedding day!
