Happy Wedding Wednesday!
What is purple, gold & fabulous all over? This stunning Vermont wedding! While it's a traditional American wedding, it's laced with Indian wedding traditions, like henna & elephants, that make it pretty special. Not to mention with her amazing henna & golden jewels, the Bride takes the win for the best accessories! Lucas DeSousa Photography shows us the beauty:
Mala & Colin got married on September 15, 2012 at The Essex Culinary Resort & Spa in Essex, Vermont. Nestled between the Green Mountains & Lake Champlain, the venue is pure Vermont beauty. The Bride & Groom's special day was infused with purple & gold details, including darling gilded elephants, & Indian culture.
The outdoor wedding ceremony was held on The East Lawn, offering picturesque views of Vermont greenery. The gorgeous Bride wore a white gown with a gold sash, accented with golden jewels & intricate henna. She walked down a red & gold rose petal-lined aisle to meet her handsome Groom at the red & gold chiffon ceremony tent. In a nod to the Bride's Indian heritage, the ceremony was laced with meaningful Indian wedding customs such as the exchange of garlands & walk around the fire. The Bride & Groom became husband & wife surrounded by their beloved family & friends.
The celebration continued at the fun reception. Floating candles twinkled above submerged deep purple orchids, while tiny elephants graced everything from the escort cards to the drinks to the wedding cake. Fun fact: the elephants trunk must be raised to be considered good luck. It was the perfect setting to eat, drink & be married!
My Favorite Moment: The exchange of the garlands, symbolizing acceptance of one another & pledging to respect one another, is just lovely & meaningful.
My Favorite Detail: The bride & bridesmaids have the most beautiful henna decorations!
Congratulations, Mala & Colin!

Happy Wedding Wednesday!
Gorgeous, simply gorgeous. Every single component of this wedding is gorgeous: Bride, Groom, their smiles, setting, flowers, etc. Oh, & the incredible rose petal aisle runner! Take little time to soak in this gorgeousness. IQPhoto Studio shows us the beauty:
Rahaf & Zeke got married on June 28 at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton, California. Deep in the heart of Livermore Valley wine country, the winery boasts lush vineyards & olive tree groves. The Bride & Groom made the stunning setting their own for their beautiful wedding by adding touches of their Middle Eastern & Latin cultures, unique lilac & coral flowers with a hint of bling & dramatic lighting.
The Bride floated down a color blocked lilac, coral & white rose petal aisle to marry her Groom. In front of their beloved family & friends, they said "I Do!" After the sweet ceremony, the newlyweds roamed the picturesque vineyard & captured their love.
Incredible coral, lilac & crystal arrangements were accented with elegant lighting, providing the perfect setting for a good party. The rocking reception started with a Spanish trio performance, followed by a belly dancing performance. Then the Bride & Groom made their grand entrance & shared their First Dance to "At Last," by Etta James. The party was officially started & the dance floor was packed all night. What a fun, lovely celebration!
My Favorite Moment: The ring bearers sharing the First Dance with the Bride & Groom.
My Favorite Detail: The flower design is absolutely breathtaking but the colorblocked rose petal aisle stole my heart!
Congratulations, Rahaf & Zeke!
