{bridal bouquets} winter reds & pinks

With the ginormous amount of fresh snow that fell yesterday, I'm having a hard time thinking of anything but winter white.  But winter weddings aren't limited to white, there is a wide array of colors that work beautifully in winter.  Pinks, berries and reds are right at home in the cold winter months, as you can see in these gorgeous winter bridal bouquets.

Oh so pretty!

{Festive DIY Christmas Wedding rerun} Erica & Dan

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

With Christmas one week away (where is time going?!), today is the perfect day to rerun this holiday cheer wedding.  It's definitely worth another look.  Imagine a wedding with poinsettias, holly & candy canes!  Here to show us every festive delight is Michelle Zahn Photography:

When Erica & Dan got engaged, there was no other choice for the Bride than a holiday wedding.  At last, she could combine her love for Dan & for Christmas by creating a festive, beautiful wedding.  They set the wedding date for December 15, 2012 in Westminster, Maryland.  The Bride chose her favorite Christmas things & began to incorporate them into her DIY holiday wedding.

The Bride & Groom got married in a traditional Lutheran ceremony at Grace Lutheran church.  The Bride made ceremony programs decorated with holly that complimented the church's beautiful Christmas decorations, including Christmas trees, garland & white lights.  She carried a full bouquet of red roses made holiday-style with red berries & greenery.  Near a towering Christmas tree, the Bride & Groom became husband & wife.

Much more holiday joy was to come at the reception at St. John's Portico.  Lovingly made by the Bride, the red poinsettia centerpieces brought the holiday-style to the reception.  The four-tier round wedding cake featured poinsettias cascading down its side & a glittery red monogram on top.  The favors were (what else?) candy canes displayed in red & green buckets.  In this festive fashion, the Bride & Groom celebrated their marriage!

My Favorite Moment:  The Groom's nephew walking down the aisle with the "Uncle Dan here comes your Erica!" sign.  Precious.

My Favorite Detail: I'm loving the bright red bridal bouquet with the holiday touches of berries & greenery.

Congratulations, Erica & Dan!

Three cheers for Friday!  Maybe four cheers as today is extra special: my husband & I met six years ago today.  That day seems like yesterday & a million years ago all at once.  I am a lucky girl & I am forever grateful for RZ coming into my life.  Before I start getting to mushy & sentimental, I leave you with a sneak peek at next Wedding Wednesday:

A winter wedding!  A Christmas wedding!  A Bride wearing my favorite winter wedding accessory, a fur stole!  I'm in love with this charming wedding!!!  So many exclamation points- forgive me, I'm excited.  Next week is a winter wedding celebration so don't miss a moment, the shining star being this holiday wedding on Wedding Wednesday!

Enjoy your weekend!
