I've been honored to feature beautiful real weddings in the past year & a half, including some incredible fall weddings.  Now that fall is here in all its apple cider glory, I thought it might be fun to revisit my favorite fall wedding images from the Koru archives.  Let's call it fall, koru-style.

My favorite Koru fall wedding images also happen to represent my a few of my favorite things about fall.  Colored leaves. Plump pumpkins.  Beautiful mums.  Golden oranges & yellow.  Fall is a season rich with delights!

Fall mums have made their grand entrance in my home sweet home of Hoboken.  In glorious shades of autumn, they grace the front stoops of brownstones & beautify the landscape of parks.  Mums equal fall, it's that simple.  So is there anything more perfect for a fall wedding cake than a fresh golden-orange mum topper?  Celebrate the season, celebrate the love!

{Autumn New York Wedding} Paola & Jared

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

While I love showcasing weddings from sea to shining sea, I am very excited & honored to bring you a beautiful wedding from my corner of the world.  I spot familiar places that have been a backdrop to my life story, like Central Park where I have spent lazy afternoons & Tappan Hill Mansion where I have coordinated & attended weddings.  Today, you will see these places in a very special light, the light of love, specifically the love of Paola & Jared.  Guy Heart Studios shows us the beauty:

Paola & Jared had a classic autumn wedding in New York on October 22, 2012.  The formal Catholic ceremony was held at the magnificent Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in New York City.  After the ceremony, the Bride, Groom & bridal party made their way to Central Park to take advantage of the bright fall foliage.  Frolicking among the leaves & the classic park spots, the portraits were light-hearted & fun.  The party continued with a celebratory reception at Tappan Hill Mansion, the former estate of Mark Twain.  Situated on a hilltop overlooking the Hudson River, the stone mansion is a gorgeous venue that the couple decorated simply & beautifully with white & a touch of blush floral centerpieces. Paola & Jared's wedding was an affair to remember, classic New York all the way!

My Favorite Moment:  The Bride & Groom playfully peeking through the fall foliage is just so sweet.

My Favorite Detail:  I love the deep purple calla lilies bringing a touch of fall color to the otherwise white bridal bouquet.
