{wedding programs} to the point

My wedding program was four pages, including order of ceremony, description of Filipino traditions, who's who of wedding party and thank you notes.  Yes, it was pretty much a short novel!  As a past very detailed Bride, I couldn't help but laugh when I spotted this extremely short & clever wedding program pinned by A Practical Wedding.  It's appropriately titled "Why complicate things?"

Yes, indeed. Why?

unplugged

Yesterday, it was wise words on weddings from Ryan Gosling.  Today, let's take a look at wise words about an Unplugged Wedding:

This. is. SO. important.

At a recent wedding, a cell phone rang smack dab in the middle of the marriage ceremony.  I cringed. Many of the guests turned away from the Bride & Groom saying their vows to see who was the offender.  The wedding guest silenced his phone quickly.  Clearly, he had no intention of trying to ruin the ceremony, it was an honest mistake.  An easy mistake.  An avoidable mistake.

With just a few simple words in your wedding program or discreet sign posted by the ceremony entrance, you don't have to worry about unnecessary disruptions during your marriage ceremony.  Trust me, you don't want anything to interrupt your vows!  All it takes is a little reminder & your wedding guests will take the time to silence or turn off their cell phones.

Cameras are mentioned too but cameras don't tend to bother me or my Brides.  That's a personal choice whether or not you want to limit cameras as well.

OffBeat Bride has awesome Unplugged Wedding templates available for your use.  I chose the Modern version here but there are many others like Flowery & Vintage.  Plus they offer more advice on ensuring an Unplugged Wedding so check it out HERE!

Pretty in Yellow & Grey Program

A simple ceremony program

The design is copied from the wedding invitation

The pocket wedding invitation that inspired the ceremony program

The Pretty in Yellow & Grey Bride came back to Koru Wedding Shoppe for matching ceremony programs. She was having a short & sweet ceremony & she simply wanted to list the members of the bridal party
who support & love them on not only their wedding day but every day. Naturally, she wanted to design to match her gorgeous wedding invitations. Easy, easy!

The Pretty in Yellow & Grey program is a single sheet with a backer. We used the same paper color, font style & design to match the Bride's wedding invitation. We flipped the layout to a vertical orientation to best fit the copy & added the bridal party list. The result is perfectly coordinated ceremony program.

Very simple; very striking!

Ceremony Classic

The cover of a ceremony program, featuring an olive knot

The inside text, detailing the order of the ceremony,
the members of the bridal party & a short 'In Remembrance' note

Yes, I'm talking about the classics again! Today is a little different because I'm not featuring a classic wedding invitation; instead, I'm showcasing a classic wedding program.

The wedding ceremony program above is one such classic. The ecru vellum cover includes the Bride & Groom's names, the wedding date & the ceremony location. Inside ecru cardstock pages include the order of the ceremony, the members of the bridal party & a short note in remembrance of deceased relatives. The black, script font matches the Bride & Groom's wedding invitation. Everything is tied together with an olive ribbon for a subtle touch of color. This program is a classic beauty!

The Bride & Groom ordered one program per couple at their wedding ceremony. Long after the newlywed couple begins their married life, programs are a fabulous keepsake for wedding guests. And who doesn't want to be remembered as a classic?!
