{Sneak Peek} Mala & Colin
Happy Friday! What are your plans for the first October weekend? I have very little plans except for enjoying my first hot apple cider of the season. Before we part ways this week, here is a sneak peek at next Wedding Wednesday:
Aren't these golden elephant cake toppers just the cutest? Well, there is plenty more where that came from in this golden wedding. The regal gold & purple color palette is accented with intricate henna, golden elephants galore and much, much more. Tune in next Wedding Wednesday to relish every sweet detail!
If you missed this week's wedding, take a look at the Lilac & Coral California Winery Wedding now!
Happy Weekend!

sunny flowers
When I was in middle school, I went through a sunflower-crazed phase. I wanted sunflowers on anything & everything- my backpack, my comforter, my world. Luckily, my Mom spotted a teenage whim one mile away & limited me to a sunflower throw pillow. All these years later, although hardly my favorite flower, I still love sunflowers & I still have a sunflower throw pillow. I especially enjoy spotting sunflowers in weddings, where their bright, cheerful essence is right at home.
Just looking at sunflowers makes me smile!

ever green
This weekend, we have big plans to put up our Christmas tree & decorate it until it sparkles & shines so I have evergreens on my mind. Speaking of which . . .
Isn't the evergreen ring shot just perfect for the season? I imagine a warm, snowy Christmas wedding held at cozy ski lodge going quite perfectly with this ring shot. Or perhaps a casual, mountaintop wedding held at a woodsy camp site for an outdoorsy couple. The ring shot is very natural, very pretty.
Do you have the holidays on your mind today?

{Sneak Peek} Shila & Brad
Hello, my wonderful Koru friends! I am back to my home sweet home after my mini-vacation & I am so happy to be here. It was one of those vacation that left me really, really missing my husband, our pup, our home & our routine by the end. Last night, we were simply cuddling on the couch (yes, pup included) & the whole world felt good & right because I was with them. I am looking forward to more of the same this weekend! Without further ado, here is a sneak peek of next Wedding Wednesday's autumn delight:
While last week's Fall wedding had an unexpected color palette & details, this Fall wedding is pure Fall. In the best possible way! Check it out next Wedding Wednesday!!
Happy Weekend!

{wedding rings} S'mores Memories
S'mores = YUM!
S'mores + Wedding Rings = Very Cool!
For me, s'mores are not only yummy treats, they hold fond childhood memories. I can't count the number of times my Grandma & Grandpa gathered as many grandkids as they could for a hot dog & s'mores roast at Huntington Beach in California. To this day, I can still recall everything: my family laughing, the ocean waves crashing & the warm campfire roasting my marshmallow to perfection on those priceless evenings. It's never as often or quite the same but we still have fun hot dog & s'mores roasts in Corona Beach, Mexico. There is just nothing as delicious as a freshly roasted marshmallow sandwiched between graham crackers & chocolate!
That was my long-winded way of telling you why I love this unique wedding ring photo so much! Any unique wedding ring photos catching your eye lately?

{weddings rings} Lobster Claw
Normally, the last place I would want to see wedding rings are in the grips of a lobster's claw but for a seaside wedding, it's pure genius!

{wedding rings} sandy
I am enjoying one of the most beautiful Spring days & the sunny skies & soft breezes have me dreaming of beach days. The beautiful ocean, the bright sun & the warm sand . . .
Speaking of sand, how cool is this sandy ring shot? I'm pretty much head over heels in love. The sand & the rings are such a perfect pairing for a beach wedding. It's a simple photo yet absolutely striking. The rings' shadows are incredible & the sands' texture is so detailed. Amazing. The black & white photography just makes this photo as I'm not sure I would like it so much in color.
Now if only I could bury myself in the sand today . . .
What are you dreaming of on this lovely day?

Orange Crush
See that fun wedding ring shot? It makes me smile. Every. time. I. look. at. it.
Ring shots are increasingly catching my attention as I look at wedding photos. It's fun to see how creative wedding photographers can be with this wedding detail. The best ones manage to capture the personality of the couple or the essence of the wedding or both. We have two amazing, beautiful ring shots from our wedding (yes, yes one day I will share my professional photos with you!) & we can't decide which to include in our album. Until we make that big decision, I sure enjoy looking at other couples' ring shots.
Anyone with me on loving wedding ring shots? Or have I gone crazy? Before we part for the week, just look at that photo one more time & SMILE!

{wedding rings} Au Natural
As a self-proclaimed wedding addict, I have my favorite go-to details when I look at wedding photos. Cool getaway cars for one. Ring shots filled with the personality of the couple & the feel of their wedding day. They can be anything from cheeky to beautiful to casual but they are always unique.
The pinecone ring shot captured my ring-shot loving heart. Without knowing one other detail about this wedding, you can guess it's an outdoor wedding for nature lovers. This photo captures the spirit of the wedding perfectly. When you learn that it's an outdoor Fall wedding near a cabin on a gorgeous property, well, this ring shot just makes sense. LOVE!
Do you like ring shots as much as me? What are your favorite wedding details?

Bands of Love

Fabulous ring shot of my brother & sister-in-laws' rings
Taken by our photographer, the talented Timothy Glenn Photography
RZ & I have our wedding bands!
The search started in August when we visited a few stores before settling on the store where RZ purchased my beautiful engagement ring. We narrowed it down quickly: RZ chose a classic platinum band while I chose a delicate, channel-setting band. Yet we were both torn between two bands of different thickness. Since we were in no rush, we agreed to come back another day.
Another day came in late November. We hooked up with the same, kind salesman & made our final selections within minutes. Then we were given the option of engraving our wedding bands. I was afraid another decision might set us back. The wedding date options was dismissed because we're good at remembering anniversaries (did we jinx ourselves?!). We picked our married monogram because it's personal & sweet.
A few weeks later, our engraved wedding bands were ready for pick-up. I was so excited! And the bands are beautiful, just perfect as a symbol of our wedding vows.
Only one question remains: how can I wait one month to wear my fabulous wedding band??!!

Fall Ring Shot
Clearly, I love weddings. Yesterday, I admitted that I love Halloween. This photograph, the wedding ring shot, is a perfect marriage of my two loves. The wedding rings are perched upon a glittered white pumpkin for a Fall wedding (as if you can't see this for yourself). Priceless.
