{Anniversary Session} Christina & Dylan

If this pretty, sentimental First Wedding Anniversary session doesn't tug at your heart strings, I don't know what will.

When Christina & Dylan got married, they couldn't fit a photographer into their wedding budget.  Their first wedding anniversary gave them the perfect chance to document their vintage style & playful relationship.  Enter the great Lauren of Lauren D. Rogers Photography & the rest is beautiful history.

The Staunton, Virginia train station not only provided vintage charm, it had deeply rooted meaning in the couple's relationship.  Christina & Dylan's love story began when Christina kindly offered to pick up a fellow college student's brother, Dylan, from the train station.  Sparks flew!!!  Soon, Christina & Dylan were logging in many hours at the train station as they traveled back & forth to see each other.  Now it holds an extra special place in their hearts as the location of their first wedding anniversary session!

I can feel & see the genuine love between Christina & Dylan in every single photo.  Honestly, I got a little sad thinking about this great couple having no professional photos of their wedding day.  But the more & more I look at these anniversary photos, the more I realize they have everything they need right here- a real & true documentation of their love story.

Happy First Anniversary, Christina & Dylan!  Cheers to many, many more!

Etsy Weddings Event

Saturday was a beautiful Spring day, just perfect for heading into NYC with Jen of Jen Kim Made & attending To Have & To Hold, the first-ever weddings event hosted by Etsy.

Just beyond the white & cream ribbon entrance, the event promised unique items & plentiful inspiration for Brides, Grooms, wedding parties & wedding guests.

& the event delivered!  I was instantly enamored with the sweet lace number accented with a blush pink flower belt:

Fresh flower bouquet alternatives like fabric, silk & wood were quite cool but a stunning ranunculus paper bouquet to last forever & ever stole my heart:

Oh, sweet little vignettes were tucked in every nook & cranny, chock full of vintage & handmade items for creating a stylish wedding:

Wow, wow.  To Have & To Hold vintage book cut-out!!!: look closely:

It wasn't all about the Bride & Grooms!  As a pet lover, I thought the ring pillows outfitted for a furry bridal party members were fabulous:

Bravo to Etsy & its artists for supporting same sex marriages:

Once.  You're only a Bride & Groom once jetting off on your honeymoon so why not travel Bride & Groom-style:

They had me at good-bye with the too-cool-for-school pink vintage typewriter:

Last but certainly not least is a great quote about marriage:

This post shows only a snippet of the items available at the event & the event only showcased a fraction of the items available on Etsy.  Please visit Etsy Weddings for handmade & vintage wedding inspiration & shopping!
