{Sneak Peek} Kari & Mark

Happy Friday!  Guess where I am today?  I'm at a wedding!  So you know I'm a happy, happy girl heading into this weekend.  But, of course, let's take a sneak peek at next Wedding Wednesday:

This wedding, well, it's just lovely in every way.  It's a destination wedding, a small celebration with plenty of heart & emphasis on family.  Just imagine a gazebo ceremony, followed by a relaxed dinner on the patio.  Sounds great, right?  Tune in next Wedding Wednesday to see this sweet wedding!

Enjoy a wonderful weekend!

sunny flowers

When I was in middle school, I went through a sunflower-crazed phase.  I wanted sunflowers on anything & everything- my backpack, my comforter, my world.  Luckily, my Mom spotted a teenage whim one mile away & limited me to a sunflower throw pillow.  All these years later, although hardly my favorite flower, I still love sunflowers & I still have a sunflower throw pillow.  I especially enjoy spotting sunflowers in weddings, where their bright, cheerful essence is right at home.

Just looking at sunflowers makes me smile!

{Vermont Barn Wedding} Nicole & Justin

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

A gorgeous summer day.  A lovely Vermont farm.  Amazing green mountain views.  Plenty of rustic touches.  This wedding has all that & much, much more!  Take a look as Lucas DeSousa Photography shows us the beauty:

Nicole & Justin got married on June 9, 2012 at The Barn at Boyden Farm in Cambridge, Vermont, a stunning location in the Lamoille River Valley.  With picturesque mountain views and bold blue skies, their bright summer wedding day couldn't have been more beautiful.  The ceremony was held at an open-air post & beam pavilion on the pretty farm grounds.  An simple wooden altar & pink & white flowers decorated the spot where the Bride & Groom happily said "I Do!" in front of their family & friends.  The celebration continued in the early 1800's hand-hewn barn with cathedral ceilings, brass chandeliers & antique wooden tables.  Colorful pom-poms hung from the rafters & colorful flowers in lace-wrapped jars decorated the tables.  It was the perfect setting for dinner & dancing into the night.  The Bride & Groom headed into their happily after in a triumphant sparkler departure!

My Favorite Detail:  The motorcycle!  Does that count?  I love the colorful flowers too.

My Favorite Moment:  The Bride twirling as she & the Groom depart through the sparklers!

Congratulations, Nicole & Justin!

{Utah Desert Elopement} Jessica & Bobby

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

What do you get when you combine a romantic Bride & Groom, adventurous spirits & the gorgeous desert?  A day of awe-inspiring love & natural beauty.  Take us away, Gordon Robinson Photography:

Here to tell us about this special wedding day is the lovely Bride, Jessica:

"When my now-husband & I were deciding on our wedding ceremony, we knew exactly what we wanted; a sentimental, memorable day that involved adventure!  We have so many wonderful friends & family, but we wanted the ceremony to be intimate so we chose to elope, telling only our closest friends.  We decided on the beautiful & remote desert of Utah, where we have been backpacking each October for the past four years.  It is a special place to us & now it will be forever in our hearts- each & every year that we go back!  The experience was beyond perfect.  It was romantic, sincere, adventurous &, above all, fun!  I would not have done it any other way."

My Favorite Moment: The Bride & Groom went hiking the day before their wedding & picked the ceremony spot!

My Favorite Detail:  I'm torn between the Bride's sweet halo & tough boots!

Congratulations, Jessica & Bobby!
