I hope you enjoyed my mini-tour of Halloween decorations in Hoboken last year. Well, this year the brownstone & condo dwellers of Hoboken did not disappoint with their creative Halloween decorations. My husband, Bailey & I spent almost two hours touring our sweet town & admiring the spooktacular decorations last weekend. It was so hard to narrow down the abundant creativity to bring you my favorites! It's a tough job but I managed.
Skeletons at Work, as I affectionately call it, is our favorite Halloween decoration this year. Spotted at an under construction brownstone, these bony fellows looked right at home:
Trick or treat! Yeah, no thanks. I'll keep moving to the next house without the creepy mummy guarding the door:
Skull window box treatments for the win! How easy it is to give a stately brownstone an insane asylum makeover:
3 little witches perched on a spiky fence in a tidy row! They're just marking time until they can cast evil spells on the innocent trick-or-treaters tomorrow:
& then there's this guy, um, scary monster. Poor monster looks like he's had better days:
No big deal, just scary ghouls hanging around for Halloween:
Isn't it all so frightfully fabulous?!
This Halloween post is a rerun but I truly believe it deserves a second chance. Last year, I wrote my Halloween posts in advance because we received warning about a certain little Miss Hurricane Sandy. By the time my Happy Halloween, Hoboken-style post published my husband, Bailey & I had long abandoned our flood-ravaged home of Hoboken & Halloween in New Jersey was officially cancelled until further notice. So let's give this fun post another shot, shall we?
Want to know what Halloween looks like in my little corner of the world? Here in Hoboken, an urban city of brownstones & condo buildings, people get very creative with their Halloween decorations despite not having much outdoor space to decorate. Hobokenites know how to make windows, doors & front stoops into a creepfest like nobody else!
So simple, so subtle! The creepy raven/skull combo earns my top prize for Best Halloween Decoration in Hoboken:
I don't want to meet the monster spider that spun this web:
Oh wait, I think I found the mega spider a few blocks away:
What a lovely Fall display! Hold up. Are those bloody stumps?!
I don't know if this scary ghoul guard wants to get out or keep others out but it's safe to say I won't be knocking!
Someone's got their eye on you! What a haunted twist on cat's eye!!
I hope you enjoyed this mini-Halloween 2012 tour of Hoboken. Stay tuned for my mini-Halloween 2013 tour of Hoboken tomorrow!
I love, love designing & creating cards & Halloween is no exception. It's such fun to spread Season's Creepings to family & friends! This year, I was inspired by whimsical Halloween-patterned papers I found. Would you like to take a peek at my Halloween cards?
Skulls, witches, ghosts & bats! Do you have a favorite?

TGIF! What are your weekend plans? I never made it to the pumpkin patch last weekend & this weekend is looking no more promising. It may just have to be a post-Halloween trip. Speaking of Halloween, this little blog is all Halloween, all the time next week. So this sneak peek isn't next Wedding Wednesday but the first Wedding Wednesday of November:
Ah, yes. We're kicking off November with the prettiest, elegant pink & white wedding. It's a must see!

Happy Wedding Wednesday!
A crisp orange & white color palette has never been done so beautifully, in my humble opinion. From the gorgeous flowers to fashionable attire to the pretty cake, orange & white looks absolutely stellar against the tropical Florida backdrop in this lovely wedding. Maria Angela Photography shows us the beauty:
Soliane & Mackendy got married on June 15, 2013 in Naples, Florida at The Club at the Strand. Known for its classic southern charm, the elegant venue boasts towering palm trees, bubbling fountains & intimate courtyards. The orange & white color palette popped against this background, creating a stunning wedding.
On a sunny, hot Florida afternoon, the ceremony was held in a large courtyard flanked by majestic palm trees. Simple white chairs decorated with orange rose & white hydrangea arrangements decorated the open space. After her adorable flower girls sprinkled orange rose petals, the beautiful Bride walked down the aisle to marry her handsome Groom. They said "I Do!" surrounded by their family & friends.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds shared & captured a few sweet moments in the Florida sunshine.
Then it was time for air-conditioning & partying! The celebration continued in a stately ballroom, impeccably decorated with white hydrangeas, orange roses & orange orchids. Lots of fun was had in addition to good food & dance floor action. The reception winded down after the orange & white wedding cake was cut & the newlyweds began their happily ever after.
My Favorite Moment: I like the Bride & Groom sharing one last passionate kiss after the reception.
My Favorite Detail: I am obsessed with the orange & white flowers- SO pretty!
Congratulations, Soliane & Mackendy!
